What is anti-vibration?
"Vibration isolation" refers to preventing the transmission of vibrations generated by equipment (vibration sources) to the outside such as floors and walls. Effectiveness can be obtained by supporting a vibrating machine with an elastic body and insulating it from the outside.
Vibration isolation principle and vibration transmissibility
Anti-vibration rubber is used to provide anti-vibration support for machines that generate vibration, or to provide anti-vibration support to prevent external vibrations from affecting precision equipment.

As shown in Fig. (1), if the force transmitted to the foundation is F when the machine is supported by anti-vibration rubber, and the force when it is not supported is Fo, then the vibration transmissibility Tr is given by the following formula (1) is represented.

Figure (2) is a graph of equation (1). If the vibration frequency ratio is √2 (approximately 1.4) or more, the vibration transmissibility is 1 or less, and it is judged that there is an anti-vibration effect.
